A historic location for modern art
Annual closing on December 25 and January 1. On December 24 and 31, the sites will close at 4 p.m.
Open to the public since 2006, Anciens Abattoirs (Old Slaughterhouse) hosts events and temporary exhibitions primarily featuring modern art.
The main building – la Grande Halle – sits on a single storey, 70 metres long by 10 metres wide. The two other sections – l'Etable (the stable) and le Frigo (the cold room) – are used respectively by the World Craft Council Belgique Francophone, which is devoted to applied arts, and Transcultures, which works in the area of digital arts.
